This is the place from an early coffee throughout the day to talk life and the universe. Watching the changing light on the giant day bed hanging over the sand, is completely addictive. As dusk darkens reflections of friends making dinner get stronger in the glass and finally you turn from the sea to the nights festivities. Both living space at Old Saltings and Upper Saltings are the biggest rooms I have had the chance to enjoy. This means there is room for everything to happen all at once without friction. It’s like living in a film.

Saltings is truly special. Its beautifully presented and so worth every penny. The art around the house captured imagination and made for storytelling with our children. The kitchen is fabulous, if you want to cook you can, its got everything you need. The location and views are incredible. Pull up in your car, unload, and instant relax with a good glass of red. A perfect Cornish holiday retreat which we will most certainly return to.

We absolutely loved our stay. The accommodation is perfectly situated, with everything you need in St Ives only a short walk away, and it has gorgeous beach views from the window seat. It is also very thoughtfully decorated and appointed, providing all the amenities for a comfortable stay and also bundles of personality. We loved all the unique artwork and especially the hand painted curtains, as they really add to the character. We’d highly recommend staying at The Saltings and would very happily return.

Gorgeous flats, both with so many tiny quirks that every time you look around you see something new, and yet the space feels utterly cool, calm and elegant. Of course the sea, beautifully framed by the huge window seats, is the prime attraction- we saw dolphins one day and a storm tearing across the bay the next! The bunk room (3 beds high!) is a personal highlight - many great games of pirates played in there while we were staying. Can’t recommend enough!

Beautiful property, with amazing views of the beach - spent a few lovely days on that window seat, watching the storms and sunrises over the sea. You can tell that it's a family property rather than just a business - loads of personal touches and bits of love-and-care which make it a perfect break.

Tranquil break in the most beautiful place- looking out over the sand and sea. This is the most special place. Makes your heart sing. Spacious and well set up with everything you could need for a Cornish retreat. We love it here! Thank you for having us again.

We've used Airbnb quite a lot now, but our stay at the old saltings is going to be a pleasant family memory for years to come. We had a warm e welcome before we even arrived. Whilst there are many flats in st ives with a good location, we dont think we have been in one yet which was such a joy to spend time in. Thanks again and hope to come back.

First class apartment with everything you need for a relaxing holiday. The apartment is spacious and clean and the views are stunning. If you want to relax whilst watching the waves then it’s a perfect location. But also you are only a few streets away from the lively harbour and shops. So you have the best of both worlds. A very comfortable and well thought out layout.

Just the most magical place in the world. The waves are hypnotic and the vibes impeccable. You're literally on the beach and the shops and local pub are less than 5 minutes away on foot. Can't recommend it enough for a family or friends break

It’s rare a place exceeds expectations, but Upper Saltings does just that. A stunningly, magical apartment directly overlooking the beach with astounding views, incredible sunsets and the sound of the ocean which lulls and comforts. We were two families and there was enough space for everyone - yet it was also homely and super comfortable, with everything one could possibly need provided. The beds, mattresses, bedding and towels were of a superior quality and the place was spotless when we arrived. The kitchen has obviously been fitted out by foodies, and is super well equipped. Beautiful artwork featuring Cornwall's best artists adorn the walls and children will love the bunk bed room. We are totally smitten, this apartment is an absolute jewel.

Magical old converted sail loft beautifully designed for the ultimate bare foot holiday on one of Cornwall’s most stunning beaches. Designed by artist architects this place is unique. Fully equipped to be able to cook for large family gatherings. The best sunset views in St Ives. Bliss.

Amazing stay, fantastic location, and friendly hosts - we couldn't have asked for more. The sea views are to die for. We spent so many hours in that window seat, watching the dogs on the beach, the storm over the sea, and the sunset over the town. When you get bored of that, you can walk barefoot for the 20 meters to the beach, and wander across the rockpools searching for crabs. The property itself is really spacious and well set up. My mum walked in & her jaw dropped - it's just so much bigger & airier than the photos do justice to. You can tell that the family have used the property themselves for years, and have thought of everything - labelled drawers, well-equipped kitchen, and it even has fast Wifi (not expected at the tip of Cornwall!) Finally, you're in the middle of town. Turn the corner to a nationally rated art gallery (Penwith); 2 mins walk to the harbour; 3 mins walk to Fore street. Beautifully designed yet welcoming, with sea and town together. We'll be back!

It’s hard to praise this holiday let too much. It’s in absolutely the most perfect position, directly overlooking the beach on a quiet street, a short walk from the best St Ives has to offer from restaurants and pubs to art galleries and museums. The atmosphere in the apartment is really warm and comfortable, the place is full of lovely pictures and the most personal touches. It’s been thoughtfully designed, but not to strike you at first glance, but to emerge in your consciousness when you stop to think about it. And, it’s superbly well equipped and furnished to guarantee a comfortable and restful stay.

We come back here every year for a very simple reason, because it is simply unbeatable. The location, the ambiance, the space, it is truly our happy place. The team are so welcoming, St Ives is a complete joy, and if you're lucky enough to find a free week, book it now, you won't be disappointed. We are truly in love with The Saltings, a holiday gem.
